LuxeRox recently secured a limited amount of this ravishing stone from the Mundarara Mine in Longido. Ruby in Zoisite, also known as Anyolite, is mined near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This juicy ruby rough exhibits its distinct hexagonal crystal encapsulated in a vibrant green zoisite matrix. Ruby in Zoisite is a metamorphic rock that is specific to this region in Africa. (Imagine how gorgeous this specimen will look in your ruby case line?)
Ruby is considered the most valuable variety of the corundum mineral species. This lushish stone also holds historical significance in both western and eastern cultures. In Sanskrit, ruby is called ratnaraj, meaning “King of Precious Stones”. Ruby from this region in Tanzania is often carved into cabochons, sculptures, and other decorative objects thanks to its unique contrasting colors.
As the color of love and passion, Ruby is one of the most coveted gems in the stone market. It signifies wealth and success and it is also the birthstone for July.
